NEW ORLEANS, La. – GMC is pleased to announce its entry into the New Orleans market, led by healthcare architect Steve Ritten. Ritten joins GMC with more than 14 years of experience with a New Orleans-based architecture firm. His immense depth of experience includes project management and design of inpatient, behavioral health, emergency services, surgical services, imaging, nuclear medicine, support services, infrastructure and clinic projects.
“I am excited to pair my regional comprehension with GMC’s resources to continue serving our community as best I can,” Ritten said. “Former and prospective clients will really benefit from the talents and services offered by the new GMC office presence in the area.”
Architect Dustin Hartman, a long-time colleague of Ritten’s, also joins the GMC New Orleans team. Their addition not only establishes the firm’s presence in Louisiana, but also further enhances GMC Healthcare’s expertise and depth of resources to better serve existing and new clients. In addition, the new office complements the firm’s presence along the Gulf Coast region, which includes established offices in Daphne and Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, Florida.
GMC is one of the largest privately-held, multi-disciplined architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast. Their staff of more than 450 professionals is equipped to provide all of the services associated with architecture, interior design, civil engineering, environmental services, landscape architecture, planning, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, electrical engineering, surveying and disaster recovery.
GMC’s focus in New Orleans will initially center on healthcare architecture, with plans to grow the location into a full-service GMC office in the future.
“We are thrilled to bring Steve and Dustin on board and to add their knowledge and expertise to GMC’s national healthcare practice,” GMC Healthcare Vice President Steve Alby said. “Our firm strives to positively impact the communities where we live and work, and we look forward to the opportunities to do so in New Orleans and the surrounding areas.”
The New Orleans office is currently located at 400 S. Norman C. Francis Parkway, with plans to establish a more permanent office space in the near future.
