Ecological Planning Group joins GMC in Georgia

Savannah, Ga. – Ecological Planning Group (EPG), a Savannah-based natural resources consulting firm, has merged with Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood (GMC), one of the Southeast’s largest privately-held architecture and engineering firms.

“We are excited to be a part of the GMC team and offer a full suite of engineering, architecture and environmental services to our clients in Georgia,” Courtney Reich, former EPG principal and now GMC vice president, said. “Our staff is looking forward to working with communities across the Southeast on projects to improve the everyday lives of their citizens.”

EPG offers a range of services designed to provide public sector clients with solutions for stormwater management, local government funding and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulatory compliance. They specialize in geographic information system (GIS) database management, comprehensive future land use planning and water supply and conservation policy development.

“Joining forces with EPG enhances GMC’s capabilities throughout our footprint and will enable us to provide an expanded set of skills to current and prospective clients,” Jim Teel, GMC Regional Vice President in Georgia, said. “Through our firms’ complementary services, we can further impact the communities we serve.”

The EPG staff will remain in their current office locations, operating as GMC’s Savannah and Brunswick, Ga., offices. GMC’s Savannah staff will relocate to the EPG office at 35 Abercorn Street, Suite 210.
