GMC awarded the 2013 River Region Ethics Award

Montgomery, Ala. – GMC was awarded the 2013 River Region Ethics Award for Large Business at the Fourth Annual Awards Luncheon held in Montgomery, Ala., at the Wynlakes Golf & Country Club on Oct. 7, 2013. GMC Executive Vice President Galen Thackston accepted the award on behalf of the firm.

“When George Goodwyn founded this company, he established a commitment to community service and ethical principles,” Thackston said. “It’s an honor to be recognized as a firm that maintains these core values.”

The River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Awards is a program of The Samaritan Counseling Center, Inc. in collaboration with the Schools of Business and Sciences at Auburn University Montgomery. Five recipients are selected each year from businesses, non-profit organizations/public agencies and individuals that have demonstrated exceedingly high ethical conduct, integrity and civic responsibility as reflected in their dealings with individuals, businesses, employees and the community.
